
The Nutley Law Firm of Piro Zinna Cifelli Paris & Genitempo regrets to announce the passing of its cherished Partner, Michelle Erica Smith.
Michelle joined the firm in 2013 and later became the firm’s first female partner. She focused her practice on estate planning, estate administration and elder law. Michelle was passionate about helping clients navigate the complex and often sensitive topics of estate planning or the loss of a loved one and the administration of their estate. In addition, she aided clients planning for the protection of their assets and was experienced in representing clients in Guardianship proceedings. Michelle was also a member of the Nutley Women’s Networking Group (NWNG).
Michelle began her career as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Maureen B. Mantineo, P.J.Cv., in the Superior Court of New Jersey. She completed graduate studies and obtained an advanced legal degree, Masters of Law in Taxation from New York Law School in 2012. Michelle was admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars, and the bar of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. In addition to her LLM in Taxation, she obtained a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Delaware and her J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
Michelle’s contributions to the Firm will have an everlasting impact and she will be deeply missed.
