FIRM CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Comprehensive Legal Services From An Esteemed Firm
Established by James Piro in September 1969, this September marks the 50th year of Piro Zinna Cifelli Paris & Genitempo continuously providing quality legal services to individuals, businesses and public entities throughout New Jersey from its offices in Nutley, New Jersey. It’s longevity makes it one of the oldest and most established law firms in Essex County.
While the firm currently employs fourteen attorneys, each possessing expertise in specialized areas of litigation, estate planning and administration, matrimonial, corporate, land use, real estate and transactional law, when the firm was founded it largely served the legal needs of the residents of the Town of Nutley, where Piro was born and raised.
“In 1969 when I established the firm, my vision was to bring a litigation practice to suburban Essex County. At that time litigation was almost exclusively practiced by firms in Newark, East Orange, Passaic & Paterson. Our firm was a general practice, similar to the other Nutley area firms, but we were also offering civil litigation services. That was the foundation for the firm that exists today with a highly qualified certified trial attorney practice & a general practice of law. At the same time, I am particularly proud that each of our attorneys, for the past 50 years, have committed themselves to public service to their communities and worthy charities and causes. Our recent recognition by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) as a “Company That Cares”, reflects this on-going commitment.”
– Jim Piro
The firm still prides itself in serving the legal needs of the residents of Nutley and its surrounding communities, but it has grown well-beyond the confines of its founding. Through its successful representation of people suffering personal injury by accidents or malpractice, retaliation or discrimination in the workplace, the firm has developed a statewide reputation, in keeping with its founder’s philosophy, of representing its clients with skill, tenacity, integrity and compassion.
The firm also has as its clients small and medium-size business entities and public entities from municipalities, municipal insurance groups and public authorities, including the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, the country’s fifth largest sewerage authority, but as importantly serves the needs of individuals from the purchase of a home to providing for their loved ones through estate planning.
Piro Zinna Cifelli Paris & Genitempo is a 14 attorney firm which has been located in Nutley since it’s founding by James Piro in 1969.
