Piro, Zinna, Cifelli, Paris & Genitempo, P.C., is a professional corporation for the practice of law, providing quality legal service to its clients for over 38 years since its founding by James M. Piro, in 1969.

The firm is composed of eight principals, James M. Piro, Frank J. Zinna, Angelo Cifelli, Jr., David M. Paris, Alan Genitempo, Daniel R. Bevere, Christopher G. Rohde and Joseph C. Angelo. Associates of the firm are Raymond B. Reddin, Siobhan M. Fuller. Paul J. Jackson is Of Counsel to the firm.

All attorneys are licensed in the State of New Jersey and are admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. David M. Paris is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Alan Genitempo and Minette Barrocas are licensed to practice in the State of New York. David M. Paris and Paul J. Jackson are licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and have been certified as a Civil Trial attorneys by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Christopher G. Rohde is licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court and is a Certified Public Accountant. Joseph C. Angelo is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia. Alan Genitempo is licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Claims Court.

The firm has expertise and experience in representing governmental entities, corporate clients and individuals. It provides litigation and other legal services for matters including medical malpractice, product liability, general negligence, automobile liability, environmental law, insurance claims, contract law, corporate law, employment, real estate, land use, elder law, estate and family law matters.

The firm includes among its clients, Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners, for whom the firm has provided representation in construction, environmental, contract and self-insurance defense litigation, and the Township of Fairfield for whom the firm serves as municipal counsel. Angelo Cifelli, Jr. represents the Newark Board of Adjustment and the Essex County Planning Board. James M. Piro is also counsel to the Suburban Essex Joint Insurance Fund, which was established in 1992; the fund currently has an annual budget of over six million dollars. The firm also conducts legal reviews for American Bank of New Jersey. David M. Paris represents the Borough of North Caldwell and the Township of Fairfield. Alan Genitempo represents the Township of Nutley as Assistant Township Attorney and Prosecutor. Daniel R. Bevere is the public defender for the Township of Kenilworth. Joseph C. Angelo represents the Township of Montclair as Assistant Township Attorney.

The firm's office is located in Nutley, Essex County, New Jersey, which is in close proximity to the courts of the seven most northern counties in New Jersey. This allows the firm to economically provide service to clients throughout northern New Jersey. The firm also represents clients in all counties in the State of New Jersey.

This firm's goal is to provide the highest-quality legal services on a cost-effective basis. The firm therefore utilizes attorneys whose experience and expertise are commensurate with the matter assigned. However, all matters are either directly handled by a principal or under the supervision of a principal.

The firm prides itself on its commitment to public service with every member of the firm volunteering time to local service organizations, charitable organizations, recreational groups and the legal community. James M. Piro is a former Chairman of the District Ethics Committee and David M. Paris and Angelo Cifelli, Jr. have served as a members of the Committee and as a member of the District Fee Arbitration Committee. James M. Piro and Angelo Cifelli, Jr. have served as Essex County Freeholders. Frank J. Zinna has served as Judge for the Municipal Court of the Township of Belleville since 1986. James M. Piro, Alan Genitempo and Frank J. Zinna have served as municipal attorneys for the Townships of Nutley and Belleville. David M. Paris was elected Councilman for the Borough of North Caldwell, served two terms as a member of the Board of Education of North Caldwell and is currently the North Caldwell and Fairfield Township municipal attorney. James M. Piro and Alan Genitempo have served on the Nutley Board of Education, the Board of Directors of the Nutley Red Cross and as Chairman of the Nutley Juvenile Conference Committee. Alan Genitempo is currently the Assistant Township Attorney and Prosecutor for the Township of Nutley. Angelo Cifelli, Jr. was chosen to serve as a member of the Transition Team for the Governor's Office.
