Alan Joseph Genitempo

Alan Genitempo, who is currently the Assistant Township Attorney and Prosecutor for the Township of Nutley, is a partner at Piro, Zinna, Cifelli, Paris & Genitempo and is well-known throughout Essex County for his more than 20 years of experience as a labor and employment law attorney. He specializes in the litigation of sexual harassment claims and employment matters, including wrongful terminations, layoffs, age, race and sex discrimination and hostile work environments. He also handles employment contracts, professional liability, personal injury, construction law and other litigation matters. He advises companies and municipalities regularly on a wide variety of workplace employment issues. The Seton Hall University and New York Law School graduate was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1987 and the New York Bar the following year. He was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims and joined the firm in 1988. He is a member of the Essex County Bar Association, and NELA-National Employment Lawyers Association.
